For the past year or so, I've been doing a series of builds pairing the LEGO baby with full-sized helmets. These builds have been popular enough that I decided to go all the way and make an Ideas project out of them! After a lot of brainstorming and building,
Baby Builds was finally born.
A castle was an absolute must. In fact,
my first Tiny Trailblazer was a castle.

At first, I had a bit of landscape surrounding the moat. But that made the water too hard to see, and the size of the vignette was starting to overshadow the baby. So I cut back and made it simpler.

The explorer was actually the last addition to the Baby Builds lineup. A bit of green foliage and some nature seemed to be a good complement to the rest of the builds.

This hat is one of the easiest to pose nicely on the baby!

A spaceship was a must, and since a realistic space shuttle has already been done by Ideas, I went for Classic Space.

I'm not much of a spaceship builder myself, but after getting some classic space inspiration this came together!

Along with a castle, I had decided that a ship was a must. Unfortunately, the recent Ideas Barracuda Bay put a pirate ship out of the question. Otherwise a revamped version of my best Tiny Trailblazer - the
Captain - would certainly have been coming. Instead, I built a longship.

The hull follows the same basic design as my earlier galleon, but with only one large sail, the overall ship is a lot simpler!
