LEGO Ideas Saturn V Alternate Build

Saturn V Alternate Build
Lots of white parts, lots of curves... besides a rocket, what is there to build with the pieces from #21309 LEGO NASA Apollo Saturn V?

My first thought was a white castle. But I was afraid it would look too sterile, with so many curves. A second thought was a snowscape, but with the selection being heavily saturated with only two types of curves, I was afraid that wouldn't look organic enough. The parts selection here was so obviously designed for a cylinder, that I decided to brainstorm cylinders. And after that, a telescope was a logical choice.

I considered building a small-scale model of the Hubble Telescope or a similar fictional large telescope, but I was afraid it would be too hard to recognize out of context and there was no way I'd be able to build a dome for it! So I decided on a full scale telescope.

Of course I had to start with the core. There were plenty of bricks with studs on their sides and I was also able to use those large white curved panels to get a smaller section on the end. Simple though it looks outside, building a sturdy core was not easy!

The trickiest part was attaching the eyepiece. At the same time it was fun to explore different solutions until I found one that would work well!

The last thing I built was the stand. Of course it would have been nice to have a full-size tripod but there weren't enough pieces for that!

What would you have built with the Saturn V pieces?
